High-precision vertical machining center BMV 5700

Doosan Machine Tools has introduced the new vertical machining center BVM 5700, designed for demanding machining in toolmaking and other precision industries. BVM5700 is the best choice for customers needing a rigid machine with precise machining and high productivity. Doosan has taken and enhanced the construction of the BMV 5700 on the proven NX series machine. Instead of the traditional cantilever structure where the table moves in the X and Y axes, the BVM model features a bridge design with table movement only along the Y axis. The X-axis motion is transferred to the spindle. This design allows for a greater table load capacity with uniform conditions throughout the axis travel, preventing overhangs in extreme axis positions. The machine's dynamics are improved due to the known and constant mass of moving parts on the X axis. The machine's structure enables machining with high material removal rates or high-speed processing with high parameters. The axis guides are roller type with a standard nut cooling system on all axes.

The new workpiece materials, cutting technologies, and modern cutting tools with high material removal require significant power and torque from the spindle. Doosan offers a top-notch, standard size #40 (HSK63) spindle with a power of 37/15 kW and 15,000 rpm, delivering 214 Nm of torque, allowing for a wide range of applications. By choosing the BVM 5700, you'll get a powerful machine to tackle future challenges. The spindle is designed in a 'Built-in' configuration (the spindle also serves as the motor shaft with the rotor imprinted on it), with air and oil lubrication and cooling, enabling longer operation at high speeds with minimal thermal expansion and no impact on spindle lifespan. The shorter spindle design reduces twisting during acceleration, ensuring smoother spindle operation despite faster acceleration and deceleration.

The BVM 5700 comes with a wide range of equipment options. The tool magazine has a standard 30 positions, expandable to 40 positions, through-spindle coolant up to 7.0 MPa, various tool measurement and breakage control systems, chip conveyors, and more. The BVM 5700 vertical machining center is available with the latest improved FANUC Series 0i-F Plus controller with a 15'' touch-sensitive screen and HDMI interface with a wide range of functions for easier machine operation and maintenance. A computer with the same architecture as the larger F31iM model is provided with 2 MB user memory and functions for faster character reading - 200 blocks in advance, nano tracking... All of this contributes to easier operation and more precise and faster machining on the machine. BVM 5700 models with Heidenhain and Siemens controllers will be available in the future.
